NAME: CHASE RYBURN

MEMORY: I accepted Christ when I was at Kids' Klub. There were red crosses on the table.
I took one to show I wanted to be saved. I wanted to be saved so Jesus could live in my heart. When I was saved, I felt happy because I knew the Lord was with me. When I took the cross,
Mrs. Dempsey and I went to the stairs and were talking about how Jesus came in my heart
and then we prayed. John 14:6 “I am the way, the truth and the life. No man cometh unto the Father but by Me.”

NAME: RILEY RYBURN

MEMORY: When I was in Kids' Klub, at eight years of age, I was curious about being saved
I went with Mrs. Dempsey upstairs. A friend came also, Samantha. We were both saved.
I felt very happy and free of sin. Romans 5:8 “But God showed His great love for us by s
ending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.”

NAME: RYLIE SCHRECK

MEMORY: I was in second grade at Kids' Klub and they were talking about being saved.
I thought I wanted to be saved so I went with Mrs. Dempsey and we prayed. I asked
God to forgive my sins. That is when I became a Christian. (Romans 10:9,10)

NAME: MARCIA DEMPSEY
KLUB:
Director and Teacher, Waterman Klub. Also taught in Ottawa, current camp cook, also was Counselor and Bible Teacher at overnight camp.

MEMORY: When I first heard of Kids' Klub, my husband and I were attending Grace Baptist Church in Ottawa in 1965. My friend, Debi Holtzman, asked, “Do you know the Aunts?” Actually
I couldn't figure out what her question meant. (I thought she was referring to “ants”.) But, soon I met the delightful Aunts - Ruth and Lillie.

My daughter, Krista, received Christ as her Savior when she was in kindergarten. She felt a burden for her unsaved friends. We held an after school Kids' Klub in our home. What a wonderful opportunity for her friends to hear the gospel and learn stories and lessons from the Bible.

In 1977, we moved to Waterman. A Kids' Klub was already established there. Caroline Bowman and Zella Lieving were the teachers. I became involved in that Klub. By 1988, our second daughter, Diane, was a klubber. She, too, trusted Christ as Savior and together as mother and daughter we enjoyed the Kids' Klubs ministry.

Now I teach my three granddaughters at the Waterman klub held in Carol Vaupel's home.
Kailey, Courtney and Kelsey Each has accepted God's salvation.

When Krista was ten years old, I though she should go to camp. I said I would go with her to be a counselor. I loved it! I have many great memories of Spring Valley Bible Camp at Muscatine, Iowa. Then years later, Krista, too, counseled at camp.

When Diane became of age to attend camp, again I went as a counselor. She, too, has been a Kids' Klub camp counselor.

In 2007 when my granddaughter, Kailey, attended Kids' Klubs camp at Streator Baptist Camp as a camper, I was still there - as a cook. I served with Carol Hulthen and Sue Davies. We lovingly became known as the “crazy cooks”.

Whether as counselor, Bible Teacher, or cook, I really have enjoyed my camp experience. It's like a staff family reunion catching up on each others lives! Kids' Klubs is generational. For many years my mother, Martha Fay, was a teacher and now her great-grandchildren are klubbers.

I'm thankful to the Lord for the opportunity of touching lives of many children through the years as they have heard God's Word taught! I have had the privilege of leading a number of children into God's family. I have seen kid's enlightened by the Holy Spirit and fears disappear as they receive the peace that comes from God when they said, “I do believe.”

My husband, Bob, has been a great help and support to me as I have worked in Kids' Klub through the years. Bob and I and our crew through Fay's Pork Chop Bar-B-Que, considered it a privilege to cater the Kids' Klubs 50TH Anniversary Celebration meal. Many of our great employees have Kids' Klubs connections.

Our present directors, Rene and Lynn Noble, are amazing talented and gifted people. They have given new meaning to words such as HITS, volunteers, award and camp food. They do know what kids like. Praise God!
